Newt Con is on the lookout for adventures, and we have a feeling there are quite a few of you hiding out there! For our first quest we're keeping things simple. Consider this a chance to get your feet wet and discover what future quests might have in store!
As you may have read in our Chronicles, The Wandering Tavern came into possession of a mysterious cipher during its travels to Frank's Swap. This peculiar device requires a six-letter combination to unlock, and we're looking for a few adventurous souls who can crack the code!
Your Quest:
Hidden throughout the websites of The Wandering Tavern and Newt Con are six mysterious scrolls. Each scroll holds a single letter needed to unlock the cipher. Use those scrolls to piece together the six-letter combination. But remember, adventurers, finding the letters is only the beginning. You'll still need to figure out the correct order! Once you think you've solved the mystery, return to the Quest Board and enter you answer into the cipher. If you are correct a form will popup. Please fill out the form so you can be recorded for your discovery in the Chronicles.
Festival Fun Riddles!
The Adventure Continues... and There's Treasure to Be Won!
Newt Con had an incredible time at the Central Missouri Renaissance Festival, and The Wandering Tavern brought a little mystery along for the adventure! Hidden throughout the festival were bottles containing mysterious scrolls, some with riddles that adventurers could bring back to our tent to unlock a special cipher. But what was the purpose of solving these riddles? Treasure, of course!
We're excited to introduce #WhatsInTheChest, a new adventure that began at the festival but continues right here on our websites! By following clues hidden throughout The Wandering Tavern and Newt Con's websites, you too can solve the cipher and earn an entry into our mysterious treasure chest giveaway! What's inside? That's part of the mystery! Gift cards, treasures, exclusive Newt Loot, and plenty of surprises could be waiting for one lucky adventurer. Over the coming weeks, we'll even be giving the chest a fantastic new paint job! The adventure continues until November 14th at the Ninth Street Winter Market in Eldon, Missouri, where we'll draw our lucky winner LIVE at the end of the event!
