Possible Future Partnership

Thank you for meeting with us and discussing our possible future partnership. The Wandering Tavern is very excited to begin its search for a location worthy of its grand celebration of all things tabletop gaming. Newt Con!

The months ahead will surely bring rough waters. We have set ourselves as ambitious course: bringing this new project to the Mid-Missouri Area and building something our community can truly call its own. I have come to realize, however, that no captain reaches new shores alone. This journey will not be possible without the crew we are gathering around us.

And so, Lestelle, we would like to formally invite you to become part of our crew! As discussed, your role aboard this adventure will be a specific and important one. You are going to be our cartographer.

As we begin exploring this land, we must make certain no stone is left unturned and not promising port overlooked in our search for the right place to hold this grand occasion. That, dear Cartographer, is where you come in.

We are entering our busy season, and The Tavern is looking for new places to provide a refreshing Mocktail. Your task will be to scout these locations, explore what they have to offer, and return with valuable insight as to why we should set our sights upon the different places scattered throughout Mid-Missouri.

We want to know the lands and the people around us as well! We want to discover the communities, gathering places, hidden treasures, and perhaps a few strange characters we encounter along the way. We have given ourselves plenty of time before Newt Con so that our community can join us on this journey rather than merely await us at its end.

And you, Lestelle, will play a large part in helping make that happen.

We have already discussed the terms of your compensation, so consider your provisions packed and your traveling papers in order. You should now be all set to begin traveling the land!

Newt Con will officially announce its arrival in Mid Missouri at Lincoln University's Homecoming Parade. There, the locals will have their first opportunity to get their hands on some of the treasures Newt Con has to offer.

We will encourage those who find these treasures to hold onto them, for you never know how whens't they may come in handy!  

They would also be wise to keep watch for letters exchanged between the two of us. Between our correspondence, posts made acrosss our social media accounts, and even withing the home of The Wandering Tavern itself, those with sharp eyes may begin discovering puzzles, mysteries, and adventures hidden throughout our jouney.

Perhaps there will even come a time when we require a few additional adventures to lend us their eyes and wits. But we shall cross that bridge when the tide carries us there.

For now, Cartographer, I have your first assignment.

I task you with finding us a heading by Sunday, September 27th, the day after Homecoming. Scout the land. Follow whatever maps, rumors, roads, or whispers you deem worthy of pursuit, and send word when you believe you have found somewhere deserving of our attention.
